Sorry, there is other way. In EonTimer, go to the gen 3 tab, and set the mode to standard.Step 1: Restart your save file. Otherwise this may be a little difficult to wrap your brain around. If you dont have the colo.precalc file, it will link you to a download page for it. Notice: It may be helpful to read up a bit on Emerald’s broken RNG.
Make sure if you use a laptop to plug it in, as power saving mode can slow stuff down (more on that later)3. You’ll have to do your own research if you have something else. I like Windows, so I’ll share what I used. A working battery is NOT necessary.2. Pokémon Emerald and the stuff to play it, like a GBA or DS, plus chargers and such (duh).
We’ll want frame-perfect timing here (though any mistakes will be resolved later).Step 4: Go to the Eon Timer and go the settings icon. This is tedious, ok? (But certainly less tedious than SR’ing 8000 times)Step 3: Name your character but DO NOT hit OK yet. Google will work perfectly fine, so why am I even including this?5. Something to do on the side, like music, or a movie. Here’s a link to a place where you can download both: 4. Something to convert to hexadecimal.
Let’s give you the benefit of the doubt and say you did it perfectly, so 1000. I also changed the color to green because I like green.Step 11: Type your ID into the box, then choose one of the SID’s and put it in. It’ll also beep at you 6 or 7 times before 0:00.0.
If the smallest number is smaller than 1000 and you have a dry battery, just use the next lowest number. Hit “Generate”.Question: Why 1000? Wasn’t our target frame 950? Answer: It takes exactly 50 frames for the game to generate your ID after pressing A at the “.see you in my lab” screen.Step 12: Enter the result of the frame box into the Eon Timer. Then click the “Shiny Only” box.

If it doesn’t match the target frame shiny, then you missed the frame.3. Check your starter’s IV’s in the Pokédex-IV Checker option in RNG Reporter’s top-left corner. If it’s female, but RNG Reporter says the shiny Pokémon should be male, then it’s not a match.2. On the battle menu, go to “Pokémon,” then “Summary,” then look at the nature. If any of these do not match what RNG Reporter gave you, you missed the frame while selecting your starter.1. Check your Pokémon’s gender in the 12.5% column. You’ll start the battle, and if your starter is shiny, congrats! But you probably weren’t that accurate, so let’s check if the SID you tried out is correct or if you mistimed the starter choice frame.Step 14: There’s a couple steps to take to confirm. Go through the opening scenes, open Birch’s bag, press A on your desired starter once, and as soon as the Eon Timer hits zero, press the “Yes” option. Probably the same with other consoles).
Try again with a different possible SID. I found I was consistently too early, so I waited an extra 1/10th of a second to press A, which made it easier.Step 15: Once you find a starter that exactly matches what the target shiny Pokémon should be, and it’s not shiny, then you know that you chose the wrong SID from your list. The RNG Reporter will give you a range of values, and each of the corresponding values in the target frame shiny must match each of these ranges.Side note: The video made some comment about Zigzagoon’s gender, but some people were arguing about it in the comments of the video, so I just ignored the gender altogether.Another side note: You can turn off the “Shiny Only” box in RNG Reporter and scroll down in the chart to see surrounding frames, which helps you know if you were early or late and by how much.
This means the game can’t hide anything from us and RNG no longer exists. The reason this is awesome is that it tells us our SID. I want that Rayquaza! Answer: Again, not a question.
You could, in theory, get a Pokémon with perfect IV’s by landing on the right frame. And because nothing is random, they will all have the same nature and same IV’s.Bonus! Now that nothing is random, we have a lot more options for getting the perfect Pokémon. So if your shiny Treeko was found on frame 3187, then so will your shiny Rayquaza, and shiny Kyogre, and shiny anything.
